Police public meet held at Awantipora

AWANTIPORA: A Police Public meet was held at town hall in Awantipora town of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, a police spokesman said.
“In its effort to restore peace and harmony, Awantipora police reached out to the people in Awantipora town of Pulwama district and assured all possible help and assistance,” he said.
He said a large number of people including town welfare committee chairman Mohammad Latif Bhat participated in the meet, which was also attended by various police officers.
The participants expressed their views vis-a-vis maintenance of peace in the area, the spokesman said.
Assuring all possible help and assistance to the people, SP Shridhar Patil sought co-operation from the public so as to prevent and detect any crime incidence.
Police also asked the people of Awantipora to help the police to trace out the drug peddlers in future as well.
