Pakistan targetted for being an advocate of Muslims, says Aasiya

SRINAGAR: Chairperson Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM), Syeda Aasiya Andrabi, on Tuesday said Pakistan is targetted for being the only Muslim nuclear power and an advocate of the “oppressed” Muslims especially Kashmiris.
In a statement issued here, Aasiya while condemning the Sunday’s Lahore blast that killed about 65 civilians mostly women and children, said, “Anti-Islam forces are hell-bent upon inflicting pain on Pakistan and destabilising it. The country is a thorn in the eyes of all anti-Islam forces particularly India and is targetted for being an advocate of the oppressed Muslims especially Kashmiris.”
“The deadly blast happened just after an Indian intelligence officer was arrested in Pakistan, which indicates that it may be a tactic to divert the attention from India’s wicked activities in Pakistan. We are sorry to say that for unknown reasons, Pakistani government and its media are not making the international community aware about India’s nefarious designs to destabilise the country. To maintain silence on the heinous crimes of Indian agencies will prove dangerous in future,” she said. The DeM chief said Pakistan wants to resolve the Kashmir issue as per the wishes and aspirations of Kashmiris but “India wants to keep it busy with terrorism”.
“It is unfortunate that Pakistan’s enemy has succeeded to misguide and hire some Muslims there. The country’s religious parties must play a positive role and prevent Muslim youth from getting exploited in the name of Jihad,” she said.
Andrabi also appealed Muslims to pray for the safety and stability of Pakistan during Friday prayers.
