DODA: The department of handicrafts on Tuesday organised an awareness camp at Doda to bring awareness among artisans of the district.
Chief Planning Officer, Yoginder Katoch, Assistant Director Handicrafts and other officers were present during the camp.
Speaking on the occasion, Katoch urged artisans to come forward and take benefits of various schemes of the department meant to improve their socio-economic condition.
During the awareness camp, handicrafts training officer, Zafferullah Tak educated the participants about various schemes launched by the department including micro enterprises, self help groups and various insurance policies meant to improve the socio-economic condition of the women living in rural areas. He further said that provision of loan assistance is also available for the artisans to set up their income generating units and artisans should come forward to avail such facilities.
