Kangan: Jamat-e-Islami J&K on Sunday organised a seminar ‘Global Environmental Issues- Crisis and its Management’ at Sheikh-ul-Alam (RA) public school, here.
As per a statement issued here, the speakers deliberated upon the importance of green and clean environment besides the role and responsibility of people in conserving it.
“It is evident from the Qur’an and Sunnah, that we should conserve and protect the environment. Islam is equally committed to the protection of human beings and environment from the harmful impact of external factors like chemical products and wastes,” they said.
“It is actually the unnecessary and unwanted intervention of mankind with nature in the name of modernisation, industrialisation, and capitalism, and bouncing back of the nature to create balance,” Riyaz Ahmad Shah said.
