4 houses damaged in Kangan due to landslids

Kangan: Incessant rains in Kashmir triggered landslides in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal in Kangan area where at least four residential houses were damaged on Saturday, officials said,

Officials said a massive landslide occurred in Wani-arm wangath village area of Kangan, damaging four residential houses. But the inmates were evacuated by locals and shifted to safer places,” they said.

SDM Kangan, Gulam Ahmad told Kashmir Reader, we have deputed a team of officials to the area to ascertain the damage to the residential houses.

The inmates, according to locals had a narrow escape as they were shifted just half an hour before the landslide struck the area.

The residential houses damaged in the land slide belong to Usman Khan S/O Rehmat Khan, Latief Bhat S/O Abdul Aziz Bhat, Abdul Satar Paswal S/O Abdullah Paswal in Waniarm Wangath.
