SRINAGAR: The government has cancelled the written examination conducted by the Service Selection Board for graduate-level posts. The state level examination was held on December 25 last year.
The fresh examination would be held in April for which announcement be made, said a government circular issued by SSB secretary SA Raina. The cancellation followed reports of mass copying at several examination centers in Jammu. Over 59000 aspirants had appeared in written examination at over 1000 centres located all over the state. During the inquiry, CCTV footage was also scrutinized, which corroborated the complaint that mass copying had taken place at specific centers. The Board had also written requests from candidates to scrap the test.
