KEA hails FM statement

SRINAGAR: Kashmir Economic Alliance led by Muhammad Yaseen Khan has welcomed the statement of the New Delhi Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in Parliament, wherein he had said that New Delhi is willing to walk an extra mile for Jammu and Kashmir assuring equitable development of all three regions of the state.
KEA in statement said that the state has been going through worst kind of political uncertainty which has impacted the economy adversely.
The statement added that if GoI of India walks an extra mile in the spirit and manner as envisaged by KEA, It would be a step towards ‘better understanding’.
It said that it believes that walking an extra mile means that the prevailing political uncertainty in the state would be addressed, economic sectors like horticulture, handicrafts, tourism, forests, industry and other sectors of economy would be revived and strengthened, our power projects would be returned besides , draconian laws like Disturbed Area Act and AFSPA would be done away with forces made more accountable.
