Daily wagers demand release of pending salaries, regularization of services

Srinagar: Scores of Casual Labours and Daily-wagers of Fisheries Department held a protest demonstration on Wednesday in Srinagar demanding release of pending salaries and regularisation of their services.
The protesters under the banner of All Jammu and Kashmir Fisheries Casual Labours and daily wagers Association, assembled near press enclave and urged Governor of state N N Vohra and Divisional Commissioner Kashmir to intervene in their apathy they are facing from years.
State President of Fisheries casual labours, Tahir Ahmad Bhat said, “Our demand is regularisation of services and the release of pending salaries. We are delivering our duties without salaries from past year,”
He said that, “We are working with the department from past 13-years but we are still waiting for regularisation of our services. We appeal to the Governor Sahab and Divisional Commissioner that this is best time to solve our problems as currently there is no political interference.”
