BARAMULLA: Almost 10 years after they ap¬plied for the Class IV positions in various government depart¬ments, the candidates from this Kashmir district are still awaiting recruitment.
In October 2006, district administration Baramulla had advertised the Class IV positions that were lying vacant in the government departments in the vacant.
Subsequently, the authorities started conducting interview, but the process was stopped midway. And 10 years later, the recruitment process is yet to be completed.
Irfan Ahmad, an applicant, said: “The district administra¬tion interview about 80 per cent candidates, but later they stopped the process. Since then, the districts saw five different deputy commissioners take charge, but the recruitment pro¬cess is yet to be completed.”
Khursheed Ahmad, an¬other applicant, added: “Most candidates have crossed the age bar and are no more eligible for recruitment on the positions. But the district administration doesn’t seem bothered.”
Several other candidates who spoke with Kashmir Reader said they intended to stage protests against the delay.
