SRINAGAR: Twenty-Seven year old Yasir Shiraz, a young Kashmiri businessman, who was killed by unidentified robbers at Russia’s Kazan province, was on Saturday laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard in Kashmir.
The body of Yasir arrived at Srinagar international airport in the on Saturday morning and was buried at his ancestral graveyard at Hassanabad (in Rainawari) area of Srinagar city, a family member said.
Yasir had gone to Russia for business trip. “While the taxi had dropped him around 7 pm and when he was walking on the road, somebody hit him on his head from behind. They took away his bag containing money, passport and other things” reports said.
Meanwhile senior PDP leader and Member of Parliament (MP), Tariq Hameed Karra on Saturday expressed grief over the killing of Kashmiri businessman.
While expressing sympathy with the bereaved family, Karra said that Government of India should take up this issue with the Russian government and time bound probe should be ordered in this regard.
Seeking relief from GoI to the bereaved family, Karra said that he will try to help the family of Yasir in every aspect.
