BANDIPORA: A District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting of Bandipora district was held under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner, here on Thursday. During the meeting, the achievements made upto third quarter under annual credit plan of current fiscal were reviewed threadbare.
The meeting was attended by MLA Bandipora, CPO, LDO from RBI, DDM from NABARD, District Coordinators of all banks, government departments and development agencies.
Lead District Manager briefed that Rs. 145.47 crore have been advanced to 7387 beneficiaries under priority and non-priority sector in the district during the first nine months of this fiscal, registering an achievement of 46 percent in financial and 58 percent in physical terms. He said that J&K Bank alone has disbursed Rs. 106.45 crore.
During the meeting, various issues regarding centrally sponsored schemes were also discussed and the officers and bankers were asked to clear pending cases on priority so that maximum unemployment avenues are generated under credit plan.
The DDC urged for close coordination between government departments and bank to achieve target. He also directed for conducting awareness programmes regarding various emplement generation schemes for unemployed youth.
While reviewing the activity of rural self employment training institute (RSETI), Bandipora, its director said that 192 candidates were trained in various trades in the institute out of whom 136 candidates provided with bank finance to establish their ventures. He said that 22 awareness programmes were conducted by RSETI in the district during the mentioned three quarters of current fiscal.
