Baramulla: Police have buried the slain Laskhar-e-Toiba militants killed in Pulwama gunfight yesterday in Kashmir’s Baramulla district along Srinagar-Muzafarabad road.
A police official told Kashmir Reader that the slain duo was buried alongside the three slain militants killed in Pampore EDI gunfight last month.
The official said that both the bodies were shifted to police lines Baramulla on Wednesday late night and later police buried them behind police station Gantamulla in the lands of lower Jehlem hydro electric power project.
Since last year, police does not handover the bodies of unidentified militants believed to Pakistani to locals for burial after nearly 30,000 people participated in the funeral of LeT Kashmir chief Abu Qasim in Kulgam. Since then, many other militants killed in gunfights in Hajin, Pampore or Kupwara were buried in garrison town of Boniyaar village to avoid embarrassment where people’s participation is not possible.
