SRINAGAR: JK Police has filed a case against a former Times of India employee and Kashmiri pandit on Monday for posting vituperative content on his Facebook handle.
A senior police official said a case was filed against Ramesh Khazanchi in Jammu after he posted insulting remarks on PDP president Mehbooba Mufti and Dukhtaran-e-Milat Chief Asiya Andrabi. He had also posted anti-Islam and anti-Muslim posts, which could stoke communal passions in the Valley.
“A legal action to block the content has been taken with relevant quarters. Technical analysis would be also taken to act against the offender,” the official told Kashmir Reader.
The Facebook account of Ramesh, a Delhi-based pandit reveals his hate is directed either against Kashmiri Muslims or Islam. It was learnt he leveled false allegations against his pandit colleague for her “moderate opinion” for which he had to sought apology later.
On Monday, when the Facebook was hogged with Shivratri wishes, Ramesh posted a couple of hate-filled posts.
“Mufti is dead. His Islamist daughter Mehboob* is all hijab clad like her Pak-Islamist sw***Asiya Andrabi…All Muslim sw*** your time is up. Mass graves await you all…” he wrote.
