SRINAGAR: Chairman Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik,on Sunday visited Sonabrari, Kokernag in south Kashmir to express condolence with the bereaved family of Lassa Khan who breathed his last on Saturday.
According to a statement issued here, Malik was accompanied by JKLF leaders including Noor Muhammad Kalwal, Bashir Kashmiri and Muhammad Amin Magloo.
Paying tributes to Lassa Khan, Malik said the deceased’s entire family sacrificed six sons for the freedom movement and the people of Kashmir are indebted to their sacrifices.
“These sacrifices are our precious treasure which motivates us to keep striving despite hardships. Lassa Chaha and his family are the symbols of sacrifice,” Malik said.
He also prayed for the heavenly abode of the deceased and patience to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.
Meanwhile, Jammu Kashmir National Front chairman and Hurriyat leader Nayeem Khan expressed his deep grief and sorrow over the death of Lassa Mohammad Khan.
“Khan was the proud father who gave his four sons and two nephews to the sacred cause of freedom who sacrificed their lives,” Khan said in a statement.
He said Lassa Khan was courageous man who never felt dejected even after losing his four sons and still continued to support freedom.
