SRINAGAR: Hurriyat Conference Jammu Kashmir (HCJK) on Sunday held a protest rally in Tral while paying tributes to the slain militants who died in gunfight with government forces on Tuesday.
According to a statement issued here, HCJK leaders which included the heads of Muslim Conference Shabir Ahmed Dar, Mahaz-e-Azadi Muhammad Iqbal Mir, International Forum for Justice Muhammad Ahsan Untoo, and Young Men’s League Imtiyaz Reshi, also addressed the public gathering there.
“The sacrifices of martyrs coined a new chapter in the history of the ongoing resistance movement. The conviction with which these martyrs fought has given a clear message to India that it cannot rule the state of Jammu and Kashmir for long. India must understand when the youths of this suppressed nation are ready to offer such unparalleled and priceless sacrifices, it can no longer hold Kashmir under its forcible occupation,” they said.
“The mission left by martyrs should be dearer to every Kashmiri and it is everybody’ is duty-bound to take the resistance movement to its logical conclusion,” HCJK leaders said.
