Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) vice president and MLC G N Monga Saturday said that youth had been the worst victim of the prevailing political situation in the state and held PDP-BJP alliance responsible for the same.
In a statement issued on Saturday, he said that after the Assembly elections of 2014 people especially youth had lot of expectations with the elected representatives. “However, in less than one year time, Governor’s rule has been imposed in the state twice as PDP and BJP have been playing politics over the miseries of the people,” Monga said.
“The prevailing situation has cost the state both politically as well as economically. Lakhs of educated but unemployed youth of the state had lot of expectations with their elected representatives. But instead of creating employment opportunities for them, the PDP and the BJP are playing politics over the issue of government formation,” the Congress leader said.
Asking both the parties to clear their stand over the issue ofgovernment formation, he said, “Both the parties need to clear their stand over the issue to clear the suspense. The state which has witnessed years of turmoil needed elected government to mitigate the sufferings of the people. However, both the BJP and the PDP failed the people of the state,” the Congress MLC added.
Monga also expressed serious concern over the ration shortage especially remote areas of the state. “People are suffering on account of ration and I appeal governor administration to look into the matter,” he said.
