Shah says India always showed ‘fake concern’ towards resolving issues

SRINAGAR: Chairman Democratic Freedom Party (DFP), Shabir Ahmad Shah, on Thursday said India’s “stubborn attitude” is the only impediment in resolving the Kashmir issue. He also accused New Delhi of showing “fake concern” over settling the disputes.
“India fakes to show concern over the resolving of issues. In reality, it is always in search of finding a way-out from the dialogue process and resorts to various pretexts,” Shah, who continues to be lodged in Raj Bagh police station, said in a statement issued here.
“India is also responsible for conflict and political uncertainty in the subcontinent as it was never sincere in the dialogue process,” he said while welcoming the strategic dialogue meeting between Pakistan and US foreign secretaries that took place on Wednesday at the State Department in Washington.
Reminding United Nations and the world community of their “responsibilities” towards Kashmir issue, Shah said, “The long-standing dispute should be resolved as per the wishes and aspirations of Kashmiri people i.e. to implement the UN resolutions pending in the Security Council of this world body”.
