Pro-freedom camp pays tributes to slain Tral militants

SRINAGAR: Pro-freedom camp on Thursday paid tributes to three slain militants who were killed in a gunfight with government forces started in Dadsara village of Tral late Monday evening.
The slain militants were identified as Asif Yousuf (Dadsara), Muhammad Ishaq Parray (Laribal), and Muhammad Ashiq Hussain (Charsoo).
Paying tributes to slain militants, Chairman Hurriyat Conference (G), Syed Ali Geelani, in a statement issued here, said “our brave-hearts are sacrificing their precious lives to end our slavery and miseries”. “
They have put a heavy responsibility upon us to carry forward their mission at any cost. The prevailing political uncertainty and instability in Jammu and Kashmir is taking heavy toll over the precious human lives for which India is responsible as it is using military power to continue its illegal occupation here,” Geelani said.
On Geelani’s directions, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat district president Pulwama, Syed Mohi-ud-din Andrabi, Bashir Ahmad Qurashi and others visited Dadsara and participated in funeral prayers of the slain militants. The delegation also extended Geelani’s condolence message to the bereaved families.
Chairman Hurriyat Conference (M), Mirwaiz Umar Farooq while paying tributes said the sacrifices given by Kashmiris for their “just” struggle demand that a permanent solution of this vexed issue was found as per the wishes and aspirations of its people.
“Without the resolution of this issue, real peace, stability and economic progress of the entire region would remain a distant dream,” he said in a statement issued here.
“Time has come that while realising the sensitivity and importance of the resolution of Kashmir issue, concrete steps be taken for its permanent resolution. The leadership of India and Pakistan are duty-bound to find a just and honorable solution of Kashmir issue,” he said.
A spokesperson of Democratic Freedom Party (DFP), in a statement issued here, paid tributes to slain militants. He said a party delegation led by Javaid Ahmad and Manzoor Ahmad Tantray participated in the funeral prayers of militants.
Paying tributes, JKLF (R) patron, Barrister Abdul Majid Trumboo said, “Martyrs deserve our salute and we are indebted to their revered sacrifices.”
A spokesperson of Muslim League Jammu Kashmir while paying tributes to slain militants expressed solidarity with the bereaved families.
Senior Hurriyat Conference (G) leaders including Mohammad Yousuf Naqash, Hakeem Rashid and Saleem Zargar participated in the funeral prayers of slain militants.
According to a joint statement issued here, the Hurriyat (G) leaders also addressed the people on the occasion.
“Through suppression, youths are forced to pick up gun. Their sacrifices are valuable assets for our movement. The criminal silence of global community and organisations towards the brutalities inflicted upon Kashmiris by India is unfortunate. Only a solution to Kashmir dispute is a key to peace and stability in the South Asia,” they said.
