Clashes in Srinagar against militant killings

Srinagar: The Srinagar city witnessed clashes between youths and forces after Friday prayers at historical Jamia Masjid Srinagar here, against the killing of three Hizb militants on Thursday.
Scores of youth assembled near Nowhatta chowk and started pelting stones and shouted slogans in favor of militants. The forces, however, resorted to heavy tear gas and pellet gun shelling to disperse the protesters.
The youths also raised flags in support of JNU, Afzal Guru and Pakistan and hurled stones on the police and Central Reserve Police forces (CRPF) deployed there.
