Srinagar: A documentary titled ‘Children in conflict-torn Kashmir’ was screened at Hurriyat Conference (M) headquarters in Rajbagh here.
Conglomerate’s chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, said the documentary would also be screened in Geneva next week to highlight the plight of children of conflict-torn Kashmir in the world.
On March 1, the Hurriyat Conference (M) said that the government didn’t allow the screening, planned at a hotel in Srinagar on Wednesday.
“It reflects the highhandedness of government. They scuttle our programs and threaten hotel owners for providing us space. But we won’t succumb and will screen the documentary in a day or two,” Mirwaiz told Kashmir Reader on Tuesday.
Mirwaiz had also announced that they would also distribute the documentary among foreign missions and upload the movie on social media as well.(FAZIL QAYOOM)
