Drug peddler held in Srinagar

SRINAGAR: Police have arrested a drug peddler in Srinagar and recovered prescribed drugs from his possession, an official said on Tuesday.
Acting on specific information, a police party from police station Shaheed Gunj laid a naka on Secretariat road, he said.
“During the naka checking, a Santro vehicle bearing registration number JK01W-2350 driven by Imran Sheikh son of Mustafa Sheikh resident of Tankipora, Srinagar was intercepted. On search 2500 tablets of Spasmoproxyvan was recovered from the vehicle,” he said.
Sheikh was arrested and a case FIR number 12/2016 under section 8/22 NDPS was registered against him and investigation was taken up.
