Srinagar: Ten persons were injured in different road accidents across the Kashmir Valley on Sunday, police said.
In Awantipora, they said, a Sumo bearing registration number JK01E-0954 driven by Mohammad Amin Bhat resident of Khunmoh, collided with a Scooty bearing registration number JK01W-5629 driven by Imtiyaz Ahmad Mir resident of Khanyar, Srinagar at Khrew in the jurisdiction of police post Khrew, resulting in injuries to Scooty rider.
In another accident, a Sumo bearing registration number JK13-5835 and an Alto car bearing registration number JK13-8853 collided at Srinagar-Jammu highway near hospital crossing Awantipora, resulting in injuries to Fatima Begum and Sabzara Begum – residents of Padgampora boarding the Alto car.
Both the injured were shifted to primary health center Awantipora for treatment wherefrom they were referred to SMHS hospital, Srinagar for further treatment.
In Kulgam, a Scooty driven by Kifayat Ahmad Sofi resident of Mirhama met with an accident at Pampai in the jurisdiction of police station D H Pora, resulting in injuries to Scooty rider and pillion mate Abdul Rashid Najar resident of Mirhama. Both the injured were shifted to district hospital Kulgam for treatment.
In Budgam, an unknown tipper hit a motorcycle driven by Abdul Rashid Parray resident of Palpora, Kunzar at Kanchattipora in the jurisdiction of police station Magam, resulting in injuries to driver of motorcycle and pillion mate Ghulam Hassan Beigh resident of Kanchattipora. Both the injured were shifted to sub district hospital Magam for treatment wherefrom they were referred to JVC hospital Bemina, Srinagar for further treatment. Budgam police has registered a case in this regard.
In Sopore, a Tipper bearing registration number JK01-4607 driven by Umar Rashid Darzi resident of Noorbagh, Sopore, a car bearing registration number PB09K-2692 driven by Rashid Rasool Changa resident of Seelu, Sopore and an Alto car bearing registration number JK01X-2529 driven by Magin Rashid resident of Natipora, Srinagar, collided near Model Town Sopore, resulting in injuries to all the three drivers. All the injured were injured shifted to hospital for treatment.
Police has registered cases in all these accidents.
