SRINAGAR: Senior pro-freedom leader and Chairman Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement, Zaffer Akbar Bhat on Sunday denounced use of “excessive force, tear smoke shells and pellet/pepper guns” on Pampore residents and “peaceful” protesters in the area. He also expressed sympathy with the injured people.
“Forces have launched offensive against unarmed civilians. This brutal action is uncalled,” Zaffar said in a statement issued here.
Meanwhile, according to statement, a party delegation comprising of Molvi Rafiq, Javed Ahmad, and Dawood Ahmad attended the funeral prayers of civilian, Ghulam Ahmad Mir, who was killed in Pulwama gunfight.
Paying tributes to slain, the delegation expressed sympathy with the bereaved family, it said, adding, they also visited Shopian and condoled the demise of father of pro-freedom leader, Mohmmad Yousf Falai.
