SRINAGAR: Chairman National Front, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, on Saturday said many educated youths in India are feeling the “pain” of Kashmiri people while the country’s politicians are “exploiting the situation”.
“We know many educated Indians have a soft corner for the oppressed Kashmiris, but its politicians are using the situation in their own way,” Nayeem said in a statement issued here.
He said days were not far when the entire Indian civil society would come forward to help Kashmiri people in seeking their “just and legitimate” political rights.
“New Delhi has to accept that Kashmiris are fighting for their right to self -determination as promised to them by the world body of which India is desperate to seek membership. But New Delhi cannot achieve its goal until it recognises our right to self-determination.”
He also condemned the crackdown on Kashmiri students studying in New Delhi.
“Delhi police has launched a witch-hunt against these students. Even the students who reside in private guesthouses have been asked to vacate the rented homes,” he said.
