SRINAGAR: Reacting to the “policy of selective targeting and creating fear psychosis among Kashmiri students” in New Delhi, Islami Jamiat-e-Talaba Jammu and Kashmir (IJT) on Friday said the NDA government is trying to draw political mileage by “stereotyping” Kashmiris. “In order to hide its failures, the NDA government and its ideological affiliates are trying to derive political mileage by embarking on a traditional policy of stereotyping Kashmiri students,” IJT said in a statement issued here. “This policy is ruining the career of thousands of Kashmiri students and has dangerous consequences. IJT demands immediate end to this manufactured profiling and selective targeting,” it said. IJT said the concerned authorities in Jammu and Kashmir should take up the matter with New Delhi “to put an immediate end to this policy of hatred towards Kashmiri students”.
