NC questions PDP over ‘sneaky meetings’ with BJP

SRINAGAR: National Conference on Thursday expressed amusement at what it termed as the PDP President Mehbooba Mufti’s “need to have clandestine meetings” with top BJP leaders.
An NC spokesman said this was an “eye-opener for those deluded” into attributing ideological motives to the delay in government formation.
NC Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani said PDP should openly own up its political merger with the BJP rather than organizing meetings in the “cloak of darkness”.
He was referring to the meeting between Mufti and BJP leader Ram Madhav last evening at the former’s residence in Srinagar.
“BJP General Secretary was sneaked into Srinagar and then to Ms. Mehbooba Mufti’s residence at Gupkar by the Intelligence Bureau brazenly in their own vehicle, and apparently accompanied by IB officials,” he said.
