SRINAGAR: Dukhtaran e Millat president, Syedah Aasiyeh Andrabi, on Wednesday said if Kanhaiya Kumar and SAR Geelani have committed sedition, the government of India should also booked former prime minister of India Jawaharlal Nehru.
“Some Indian scholars and think-tanks are right in suggesting that if SAR Geelani, Kanhaya Kumar, and other students are booked for sedition for raising Kashmir issue, a case be filed against Nehru, who has first promised a plebiscite to Kashmiris,” she said in a statement issued here.
She condemned the outcry over the JNU event and “the frustration” being exhibited by the GoI.
“Instead of the mindless reaction, including the booking of students and scholars, the country shall develop a taste for bitter realities like Kashmir. These childish steps taken by you in frustration only add to your problems,” she said.
