Kashmir police claims to have busted militant outfit

Bandipora: The police on Wednesday claimed to have busted a militant outfit whose “mission was to revive extinct armed group Hezbollah” in north Kashmir’s Bandipora.

Senior Superintendent of Police Bandipora, Shabir Choudhary said, “We have arrested four boys with weapons whose mission was to revive armed group Hezbollah in Bandipora.”

He also said that they were “set to execute a plan to attack some important personalities”, however, police’s timely action foiled their plans.

The arrested people have been identified as Muzamil Afzal , Firdous Ahmed Rather, Bilal Ahmed Rather, all residents of Pazalpora and Abdul Majeed Khan who hails from the Kralpora area of the town.
According to the police “Muzamil and Firdous both young boys were
desperate to join militancy from last six months, the duo got acquainted with Bilal who provided weapons to them.”
Police said that they have registered a case under FIR No 03/2016 U/S
7/25 I.A act, 120-B RPC at Police station Pethkote, Bandipora and further investigation is in progress.
