JAMMU: Governor NN Vohra will be on a daylong visit to Srinagar on Tuesday to review the overall security situation in Kashmir Valley with top civilian, police, army, paramilitary and intelligence officers. He will also inspect the ongoing dredging works on river Jhelum.
A Raj Bhavan spokesperson said the governor will also interact with the stakeholders of Trade, Tourism and Industry sectors to discuss the various problems faced by them.
The governor has separately sought a detailed report from the director general of police on the Pulwama incident in which two youths lost their lives on Monday and directed that the magisterial enquiry by additional district magistrate must be completed within the stipulated time frame.
Vohra also directed divisional commissioner Kashmir to visit the SMHS Hospital, where the injured persons have been admitted for treatment and extend all necessary assistance to the families of the victims as well as those injured in yesterday’s incident.
