Srinagar: The United Jihad Council, Muzaffarabad-based grouping of militant outfits operating in Kashmir, said on Sunday that it rejects all formulae that talk of dividing Kashmir or maintaining the status quo.
“Kashmiris have sacrificed 6 lakh people, their properties, their kids, their honour not to witness the division of this land but for its liberation of this land and for Allah,” UJC general secretary Sheikh Jameel-ur-Rahman said in a statement.
He said Imran Khan or others have no right to propose formulas for resolution of Kashmir and if such people “cannot help us in ridding us of the yoke of slavery, they shouldn’t help our enemy either”.
“Apparently people who appear to be our sympathisers are in reality speaking the language of our killer. Whoever extends a hand of friendship to India before we are freed of Indian occupation is backstabbing us,” the statement said.
