SRINAGAR: The Jammu Kashmir National Front on Thursday said imposing restrictions in Kashmir Valley is New Delhi’s open confession that Kashmiri people have “neither forgotten their great martyrs nor have they surrendered before the oppression and suppression”.
In a statement issued here, a spokesman of the party said if the restrictions were not imposed, people would have come on to the roads “to peacefully exhibit their solidarity with their martyrs”.
“India knows it. That is why it jailed the people in their homes,” he said, paying tributes to Afzal Guru and Maqbool Bhat on their execution anniversaries.
“India had thought that it will kill the inspirations of Kashmiri people, but the fact on the ground is that freedom-loving Kashmiris’ will of freedom has increased manifold and they have once again renewed their will for complete freedom from India,” he said.
“Despite the anti-people activities of New Delhi and its collaborators, the successors of thousands of martyrs including Shaheed Mohammad Maqbool Bhat and Shaheed Mohammad Afzal Guru will continue their struggle for freedom “.
