Srinagar: Chairman JKLF (R), Farooq Ahmad Dar (Bita Karate), in a statement issued here, paid tributes to Syeed Mufeed alias Rakib.
“We will always remember these martyrs and we feel proud for what they did for the freedom movement,” he said.
Criticizing authorities, Dar said restricting people from attending the funeral prayers is worst type of “state terrorism”. “This won’t deter us from pursuing the mission martyrs. We will always remember them for their dedication towards the freedom movement,” he said.
A delegation of Muslim Deeni Mahaz (MDM) comprising of Mufti Nadeem and Khalid Bashir visited slain militant’s residence and expressed condolences to the family.
“The martyr gave up a government job to join jihad. This is a lesson for the people who sell their conscience for petty benefits. Martyrs never die but are placed at highest levels of Jannah,” the delegation said on the occasion.
Meanwhile, a spokesperson of MDM condemned the slapping of PSA on a Kashmir University student, Muzaffar Ahmad Mir, son of Late Ghulam Ahmad Mir of Kangan, who has been lodged in Kathua jail.
“Muzaffar was arrested on 13th November 2015 when he was heading towards the university. His widowed mother kept visiting police and administration but to no avail,” he said in a statement issued here.
