SRINAGAR: Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) on Friday said Jammu and Kashmir is one unit and anybody trying to divide this land on religious or regional lines will face stiff resistance.
“The so-called rulers have turned Jammu as a ‘no-go’ area for resistance camp. This is aimed at keeping the people of Kashmir away from their Jammu brethren,” said JKLF vice-chairman, Showkat Bakshi while addressing a public gathering at Jamia Masjid, Bhaderwah.
“Kashmiris are always at the back of their Jammu brethren. We want to convey to our brothers here that we are one and will always remain one,” he added.
Bakshi had led a delegation to Bhaderwah to express condolence with the bereaved family of veteran social leader, Abdul Hai Khateeb. He was accompanied by JKLF leaders including Muhammad Sidiq Shah, Ghulam Muhammad Dar and Ashraf Bin Salam.
Meanwhile, in a statement, JKLF chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, expressed grief over the demise of the mother of his close friend, Abdul Hamid Butt, of Rahim Motors.
“Malik participated in her funeral prayers and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family. He also recalled his association with the deceased and termed her demise a personal loss,” the statement read.
