SRINAGAR: The government on Tuesday said that 45 industrial units are still under the occupation of government forces in the Valley.
This was disclosed during a meeting held by Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Asgar Hassan Samoon with officers of Industries Department, SIDCO, SICOP, Jammu and Kashmir Police and other officers of civil and Police administration to review the status of industrial units presently under occupation of government forces in Kashmir Valley.
It was informed that out of the 131 industrial units were occupied in Kashmir Valley by government forces, 86 were retrieved while 45 units are still under their occupation.
He directed the Department of Industries and Commerce to expedite the process of setting up land bank for the promotion of industry in the state.
The Div Com said that to ensure growth of economy we need industrial development and setting up of land banks will go a long way in achieving the goal.
The meeting was attended by senior officers of civil and police administration.
