One dies, seven injured in road accident at Pampore

Pampore: One person died while seven others were injured in a road accident on Srinagar-Jammu highway at Lethpora in Pampore town of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district late Sunday evening, police said.
They said a truck bearing registration number JK02U-3725 collided with a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK03D-9174 near Chandhara Crossing at around 10:30 pm resulting in the on spot death of one person, identified as Ghulam Ahmad Wani, 45, son of Ghulam Mohammad Wani of Nagnaran Achabal, Anantnag while seven others suffered injuries.
The injured were identified as  Parveiz Ahmad Wani son of Abdul Rehman Wani of Doda; Saleema wife of Ghulam Mohammad Wani of Chatragul Mattan;  Gulzar Ahmad Naiko son of Abdul Rasheed Naiko of Poshnaran Anantnag.;  Saleema wife of late Ghulam Hassan of Chatragul shangus and Abdul Gani Koka son of Noor Mohammad Koka of Chattagul Anantnag.
All the injured were rushed to a hospital for treatment, they said.
A case FIR No 16/2016 under section 279, 304 A RPC has been registered in this regard at police station Pampore.
