JKEEGA demand redressal of their issues

Srinagar: J&K Electrical Engineering Graduates Association (JKEEGA) on Sunday accused the government of ignoring their “long-pending legitimate demands” including the engineers at all levels.
According to statement issued here, the JKEEGA said the “regularisation of engineers at all levels, running pay grade, non-filling of vacant posts at all the cadres by way of promotions, is a matter of great concern”.
“Despite the government’s time and again assurances, nothing concrete has surfaced. Though Commissioner/Secretary in past meeting had assured to solve our grievances, for which the relevant record was also handed over to the HRM Department, no progress regarding the matter is observed,” the Association members maintained, in an emergency meeting held on Sunday.
They also appealed the Governor, Chief Secretary and Commissioner Secretary, Power, to personally intervene in the matter.
The meeting, according to statement, was headed by JKEEGA president, Er Peerzada Hidayatullah and General Secretary Er Neeraj Sharma and attended by others.
