Srinagar: Senior PDP leader and MP Muzaffar Hussain Baig, who addressed the meeting, accused former chief minister and NC working president Omar Abdullah of creating “RSS scare” among the people in the Valley.
Baig said the RSS’s presence in the Valley should not be a cause for concern, sources told Kashmir Reader. He added the Sangh had a strong presence in the state since 1947 and Omar was a minister in the NDA-government led by AB Vajpayee.
Omar served as a minister in the BJP-led government and remained mum about the RSS then.
“There has been no change in the BJP since the NDA-led by Vajpayee. Today’s BJP is no different from the the BJP of Vajpayee,” sources quoted Baig as saying.
