Jammu: Stating that there can be no alternative to elected government, National Conference on Wednesday asked PDP and BJP not to leave people in lurch for their compulsions.
“Those mandated to run the affairs of the state should not shirk their responsibilities. They are accountable to the people, who cannot be left in lurch because of the compulsions of those voted to power,” NC’s general secretary, Ali Mohammad Sagar, said while addressing senior party leaders at SK Bhavan here.
He said that National Conference will play its designated role as main opposition and “strive for steering out the state from present morass”.
He said those mandated to run the affairs of the state must realise that they can shirk their responsibilities.
