Widow’s murder sparks protest in Baramulla

Baramulla: Protests broke out this afternoon in this north Kashmir township after a widow was stabbed to death by unknown persons.

Witnesses told Kashmir Reader that dozens of members of Sikh community joined by Muslims, staged protests at Nanak Bhawan here, hours after a woman was murdered by unknown persons in Kanli Bagh area of the town.

The protesters were demanding identification of the pepple who stabbed Kunder Kour of Sangri to death when she was on way to Gurudwara in Tawheed Gunj locality of the town early this morning.

SHO, Baramulla Ayaz Ahmad Geelani told Kashmir Reader that police have started investigations into the matter. He said that the assailants will be identified soon.
