Srinagar: Dukhtaran-e-Millat president Syed Asiya Andrabi on Sunday urged people to observe “civil curfew” on October 27, terming it as “one of the worst days” in the history of Jammu Kashmir.
“A civil curfew should be observed on the day as always and there should be absolute blackout from 7pm to 8pm to protest the illegal occupation,” Asiya said.
Asiya said that the Kashmiris have “given countless sacrifices and are continuing with the same sprit”.
“Just a couple of days before three more youth sacrificed their lives and wanted to give a message to the world that we reject India and want to free our land,” Asiya said and called upon the world community to take note of “Indian arrogance.”
“If the world actually wants to see peace prevailing in the subcontinent, it should play its role to press India to end its forcible, unjust and illogical occupation of Jammu Kashmir,” she said.
