Meanwhile, minister’s PRO says meeting was deferred

Srinagar: Spokesperson of the Minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution department said the government had to defer the review meeting due to absence of the heads of various departments.
“The government on Thursday had to defer the review meeting of District Development Board, Kupwara as Heads of various departments were absent from the meeting,” the spokesperson, Zakir Malik said in a press statement issued here. He said the minister “took strong notice of the absence of HoDs and deferred the meeting”.
“The minister was supposed to review the development activities of Kupwara district at SKICC Srinagar. However, the meeting was deferred after the minister observed the absence of many HoDs from the meeting,” he said.
According to the spokesperson, many HoDs had sent their subordinate officers to the meeting.
“Few officers remained absent citing health issues while some said they were not able to attend the meeting due to restrictions,” he said.
