Foundation stone of Waterhail receiving station laid

Srinagar: Foundation stone of the receiving station coming up at Waterhail in central Kashmir’s Budgam district was laid on Thursday.
An official handout issued here said the Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Asiea Naqash and Minister of State for Power Development, Mohammad Ashraf Mir laid the foundation stone of the 2X6.3 MVA, 33-11 KV receiving station.
They were accompanied by MLC Saifuddin Ahmad Bhat, Chief Engineer PDD Bashir Ahmad, and Chief Medical Officer Budgam Dr GM Dar.
“We have been serious about bringing the downtrodden areas of the state to developmental front,” Mir was quoted as saying in his address on the occasion.
The MoS said the people of Waterhail would see “a wave of development and prosperity” after the receiving station would be commissioned.
“The way you want honesty from the government, government expects certain things from you too. We want you to give us time, cooperate with us, and also be honest with your representatives,” he said.
Addressing the public gathering, Asiea highlighted various schemes available in the Health and Social Welfare sector.
She urged people to work for peace and prosperity.
“In order to witness peace and prosperity, people need to be upfront in all the directions,” she said.
