Asiya appeals for protests today

Srinagar: Dukhtaran-e-Millat president Syed Asiya Andrabi on Thursday appealed people to stage protests after Friday prayers as per the call given by the pro-freedom leadership.
In a statement here, Asiya said that people of Valley should express solidarity with the Jammu Muslims who according to her are facing threats by the Hindutva forces.
She also condemned the arresting of Syed Ali Shah Geelani, chairman of his faction of Hurriyat Conference, as the octogenarian leader headed towards Botengo to meet family of Zahid Rasool who was lynched by the Hindutva goons in Udhampur last week.
Andrabi also said RSS sponsored and PDP led government has made the life of Kashmiris “hell.”
