Security heightened after car stolen in Srinagar

SRINAGAR: Police on Tuesday heightened security and intensified checking in Srinagar city and in parts of south Kashmir after a maruti car was stolen by unknown persons at Bagath here.
Official sources told GNS that the Maruti Car (JK004- 4309) belonging to Bashir Ahmad Zargar of Bagath was lifted near JK Bank at Baghat Chowk.
While police have registered a case in police station Sadder, the alert has been sounded, he said. “All the police control rooms have been alerted and check points have been established on the Pulwama-Srinagar highway,” the officer told GNS.
He said teams have been set up to look for the stolen car.
