Women killed, 4 injured in Ramban road mishap

Ramban: A 60-year-old women was killed and four others were injured, when an Alto car they were traveling in, skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge at Gangroo near Ramso in Ramban district on Jammu-Srinagar national highway on Monday evening .
The vehicle bearing registration number JK03E-3257 way on its way from Jammu to Srinagar when the driver failed to negotiate a sharp curve and the vehicle plunged into 300-feet-deep gorge near Gangroo area of Ramsoo sub district on Jammu-Srinagar highway, witnesses said.
After getting information, police team and locals rushed to the spot and shifted the four injured persons to sub-district Hospital (SDH) Banihal, where doctors announced one of them as brought dead.
The deceased has been identified as Halima Begum (60) wife of Abdul Majeed resident of Silar Pahalgam.
The injured identified as driver Ghulam Rasool son of Abdul Khaliq , Jallela Parveen (50) wife of Ghilam Rashool, Masood Begam (55) wife of Ghulam Mohd, Baby Anish (05) daughter of Mohd Iqbal all resident of Iqbalabad Anantnag, were responding to the treatment, when reports last came in.
Police registered a case at police station Ramsoo and investigation started.
