JK chambers ask New Delhi to return power projects, stop harassing tax payers

Srinagar: The trade bodies of the Jammu and Kashmir today asked New Delhi to return power projects,declare the state as free economic zone, and put an end to the harassment of the honest tax payers.

Talking to reporters, Kashmir chamber of commerce and industries (KCCI) and Jammu chamber of commerce and industries (JCCI) warned Indian government to stop harassing honest tax payers otherwise they will stop paying taxes. The chambers demanded return of power projects, declare the state as free economic zone, add more item on LOC trade list, declare tourism as industry.

“If our demands are not met then we will give them a befitting reply,” Rakesh Gupta, president Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industry said.
