Anti-India protests erupt in Khanabal on CM’s visit

Srinagar: Chief minister Mufti Mohammad Syed had to face the protests from the family members and relatives of two drivers who were attacked with petrol bombs and stones by a mob of Hindu extremists in Udhampur district of Jammu region last week.

Witnesses said that the family members and relatives of two truckers Showkat Ahmad and Zahid Ahmad staged protests outside the degree college Khanabal where chief minister inaugurated the auditorium.

As soon as the Mufti came out of the college the protesting relatives started raising slogans prompting Mufti to halt the his vehicle and talk to them for few minutes.

The protesting family members , they said, were also joined by the college students who raised anti-India slogans.
