Baramulla: Search operations continued for the second running day today in Wadora Bala area of Handwara, where army had claimed to have killed a Lashkar-e-Toiba militant on Sunday.
The search operation continued for the second consecutive day today, as the joint team of army and Special Operations Group (SOG) of police advanced deep into the jungles to track a group of militants believed to be on run after Sunday’s gunfight, a senior official said.
The army have also pressed into service choppers to track the militants. Sniffer dogs ae also being used in the operation.
“The search operation started in the Hafrada forests are in progress. However, there has been no contact with the militants,” army spokesman Lt Col Manish told Kashmir Reader today.
