Srinagar: The Adventure Tour Operators Association of Kashmir (ATOAK) held its annual general meeting and a Seminar on “Adventure tourism –All it needs A gentle push” at newly constructed Pahalgam Club of JKTDC.
During the meeting various decisions regarding sustain able development of adventure tourism in the state were taken.
The association expressed its gratitude to honorable Chief Minster Mufti Muhammad Syeed who has shown keen interest in adventure tourism ever since he took the charge of chief minister. The association also expressed its gratitude to Secretary Tourism Farooq Shah who is leaving no stone unturned in reviving the tourism in general and adventure tourism in particular in the state.
ATOAK has exhibited its delight for the Government for constructing such a massive facility for conventional and recreational tourism in Pahalgam .
Secretary Shah said that the Tourism Ministry is all set to bring J&K state at par with other neighboring Himalayan states and countries where adventure tourism is operated at highest levels.
Basharat Bukhri Minster for Law & Parliamentary Affairs was the Chief Guest who lauded the role of tourism department. Later president ATOAK Rouf Tramboo expressed his thanks and gratitude to participants.
