Srinagar: Traders’ representative body Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation (KTMF) on Friday called on the Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed to discuss thier demands including rehabilitation of the flood victims.
An official handout issued here said a delegation led by KTMF president Advocate Mushtaq Ahmad Sagar presented a memorandum to the chief minister (CM).
The delegation, it said, discussed with the CM “the matters related to relief and rehabilitation of flood victims, issues pertaining to electricity tariff, and compensation to the people whose land has been acquired for widening of roads”.
The traders highlighted the need to ensure availability of kerosene, LPG, and other essential commodities, especially during the winter months, it said. The chief minister gave a patient hearing to the delegation and “assured of getting the issues examined on priority”, it said.
